"Breaking Free from Abusive Relationships."
Research shows that the client-therapist relationship is primary for therapy to be successful. In this regard, I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment wherein you can be heard, understood and respected in terms of your emotional, intellectual, physical and spiritual needs. Within our alliance you will have the opportunity to discover the emotional tools needed for feeling confident in your ability to cope with life's challenges. For more than 20 years I have successfully assisted clients through this therapeutic process. In addition to private practice, I taught for several years at Northeastern Illinois University and currently hold an adjunct faculty position at Oakton Community College.
I believe therapy is an emotional discovery process between client and therapist. Through this educational process the client develops satisfying solutions to his/her problems, leading to the rewards of personal growth and a feeling of well-being. To quote James Baldwin: "Not everything that is faced can be changed; but nothing can be changed until it is faced."
