My approach to treatment is psychodynamic/psychoanalytic. I believe people often seek treatment because they want to change. I also believe that a primary issue many people bring to psychotherapy is the quality of their relationships. Everyone does the best she/he can regarding getting his/her needs met. We all cut the best deal we can given the limitations of our mostly conscious assumptions about ourselves and others. With a psychoanalytic understanding an individual can be freed from psychic constraints that limits one ability to negotiate for the highest possible quality of life.
One of my specialties is in helping people cope with physical loss or disability. Also I have worked in ethnically diverse environment with people from many cultural back grounds.
